Lynch served a disputed home

Thursday, giving the Allanta
Braves a 5-2 victory over the
Chicago Cubs.
While others argued whether
Mull>hy's shot had actually cleared

gone too far lor any pitcher's taste.
"Even If It didn't go out, it was a
double off the wall and would have
scored a run," said LyiiCh. "If the

been blowing out, It would have
landed across the street."
With the scooe 2·2 In the eighth,
Omar Moreno singled and reached

usually think of a baby as a tiny, lovable
attention·getter to be admired and sometimes
presented with a gift. Our own babies are the
objects of love, rntense pride and 24·hour
room service; while we spend long hours won·
dering if they will turn out all right and how we
will ever afford to send them to college. Of
course, if we would think first about sending
them to Sunday school, this might help to ans·
wer the other question. We take them to our
House of Worship, and aside from their involve·
ment in any religious ceremony, their presence
there is conditional: they will either allow us to
hear the sermon or be banished to the crying
room . Still, there is no more dramatic evidence
of the miracle of creation than a baby; the
extension of our own life and with God's help,
the bright promise of a better world tomorrow.
