Dear Helen:
I'm an average teen with just
one problem.
Ever since I can remember I've
never seen anyone from my mother's side or the family: Cousins,
parents, no one. She never ·talks
about them - it's as if the:y never existed. I've only known her
sister, whom I'm very close to.
I'd ask HER, but I'm atratd she
wouldn't teil me either.
When I was y~r, I'd ask
my mother what her rame was
before she 1111rrled, and she'd
say, "I'll tell you later," but
later never came.
Helen, don't I have a rigtlt to
know about my mother's chlld-houl, my matemalgra~ents,
where they llved? We don't even
have picture& or her when she
waa a child. My father acts
touchy on the subject. too.
I love my parents very much
and we get along fine. Why don't
they share this secret with me?
18 there anything I can do to fioS
