Mrs. Euler made reference to
a paraphrase on the Lord' 1 Prayer written by a college freshman
tn which it was sugested that
churches migtrt: do such things
as become haltway houses for
people returning from mental
institutions or tutor underprivi·
}edged children.
She spoke of changes in attitudes w~thin the church and suggested that members keep an
- n mind, read what the leaders are saying, aM be confident
that the wUI ol God will prevail.
During the meeting conducted
by Mra. Nan Moore, the IUlflual
valentine project was discussed.

Coates, who works in the methods and processes program at
Natimal Twist Drill in Roches.
ter, got his perfect game in the
middle of a 758 series that incJuded games of 247 and 211.
..h was a bit easier the second time," Coates said happily
after his accompllsllment. ..I had
a 299 two or three years ago
here and five or six perfect ones
in practice."
"I've given it a lot of thought
since that 299," the Pomeroy
grad commented. '"\'ou have to
forget about ge~ing the strike
and roll the ball. You just worry

about getting the baH out over

the spot."
Coates, in addition to bowling
at the North lUll Lanes, is also
rolling in a Huron, Mich., league
for the Oxford Merchants where
he is carrying a 197 average.
lie now has a 194 average at the
Rochester bowling location .
His 758 series equaled the season's high at North Hill and put
him ahead of National Twist Drill
teammate Bob Goshrnan, who hU
298 and 75i series only a few
days earlier.
Coates began bowling at the
Pomeroy Lanes and participated
in leagues here until movlng to
Michigan.
