~ Meigs High School In Middleport.
The approximate 150 band students - dressed in clothIng ranging !rom neat sportswear to Door length formals
- eommunicated with their elders through their enthuslaatlc applau10.
While school officials and band Lnstructors - David Bowen and Glen ll!aw - were given more than proper respect
and awreciation by the applause or the young people, scoring
a real bull'• eye witbthebandsmenwerethe Meigs Band Boosters who stagecl Cbe affair.
The boosters not only prepared and served the dinner, but
also provided scads of awards - some given for the first time.

Insect pests are controlled by the use of insecticides. Some
of the most commonly used are D.D.T., Chlordane, Lindane, Sev·

lo~ specific Insect pests. No single chemical kills all kinds of
Insects.
The home gardener should avoid the use of the more polsonous materials. For most pests there Is a choice~ several materlals. In lillY case, most pesticides are pnisonou• w humans,
