was an engineer. Soon he had a research laboratory helping him to design better and
more 1ensitive equipment to bring in the
weakest sipis with strength and clarity.
The laboratory Ia now the largest in the world
devoted to TV receiving antennas, and its research has revolutionized TV reception. The
famous T-W, or "Traveling Wave" antenna,
the most advanfed detlin of its kind, Is a

components, and other home recre•tion products.
Now, with almost 50 million TV sets in
the. country, the company has found a whole
liew matkot in the rep~ement of outmoded
or worn out antennas, to service the estimated ftO percent of existing sets which could
have their reception substantially improved
with a new antenna system.
No one will argue with Joe IWsnick that
hia preaasembled TV antenna made its ap·
pearance in a logical place, at an appropriate
lime. But there was more involved here than
just a new and needed product. There was
the solidarity of the brothers. There was the
respect of a community that backed them
without question. And there was Lou's cab- Iw"b:w;-"i.~;
