            <text>Velma Adrian Rue, 100, of Middleport, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center. Born on June 10, 1922 in Crown City, Ohio was the daughter of the late Hobart and Ferne Dillon. Velma went to Gallia Academy High School and was a cheerleader.  She was a bookkeeper for their business, Tom Rue Motors. Velma was a member of the Middleport Presbyterian Church, and was their bookkeeper for 30 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a volunteer at Holzer Hospital for 26 years. Velma enjoyed dancing, traveling, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.&#13;
&#13;
Velma is survived by a daughter, Sue Rue Garner, Gallipolis, and son John (J.T.) (Gale) Rue, Michigan; granddaughters, Ally (Belinda) Garner, Texas and Kendra (Justin) Nalepa, Michigan; Grandsons, Eric (Danielle) Rue, Michigan; Tyler Rue, Colorado, and 3 great grandsons, Jason Benavidez, Brooks and Mac Rue, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.&#13;

She is preceded in death by husband, Tom Rue, and sister Marjorie Bowman, Florida and special friend, Tommy Winborne, Gallipolis.&#13;
&#13;
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. At Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport, Ohio with Alfred Holley officiating, and burial at Mound Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service. &#13;
