            <text>Clyde “Happy Hippy” Joseph King, 74, of Gallipolis, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the Grant Medical Center, Columbus. Born February 24, 1947, in South Side, West Virginia he was the son of the late Everett King and Louise Young Brumfield. He was a Staff Sargent in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was also the owner operator of Happy Hippy Hauling.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his daughter, Kelliann Brooks, of Crown City, a granddaughter, Layla Brooks, grandsons, Kenneth Brooks, and Anthony (Bethann) Harmon. His former wife, Karel King, of Gallipolis, and a sister, Mary (Sam) Carr, of Milton, West Virginia.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who raised him, Marie and Clyde Young, and a brother, James King.&#13;
&#13;
Graveside services will be held in the Chapel of Hope in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with Rev. Edward Buffington officiating. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Gallipolis Military Funeral Detail Team will follow. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.</text>
