            <text>John Edwin "Eddie" Houck, Jr. 78, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 9:36 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in the Holzer Medical Center with his family by his side.. Born September 14, 1942, in he was the son of the late John Edwin and Nancy Leaper Houck Sr.. He was a passion was teaching. He was a professor of English at the University of Rio Grande, and he taught for the past sixteen years at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Center. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Houck whom he married on October 7, 1988 in Gallipolis, children, Joby Houck, of Cincinnati, Chris (Michelle) Houck, of Greenfield, Ohio, Tyler (Katie) Houck, of Gallipolis, Randy (Stephanie) Rocchi, of Point Pleasant, WV., and Beth Rocchi, of Gallipolis. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Susie (Roger) Vanco, of Gallipolis, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his sons, Ann Magnussen.&#13;

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eddie's memory to Holzer Hospice, 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631&#13;
