            <text>Wesley Robert Herrick, 97, of Middleport, passed away, at 5:12 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, WV. He was born on February 22, 1922 in Oakland, California. Early in life he was a Merchant Marine and was a San Francisco California Bike Messenger. He attended the Hillside Baptist Church and he was a retired cabinet maker, and he also taught woodworking at the Carlton School in Syracuse.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, June Rice Stewart Herrick, whom he married on November 19, 2011, in Gibbstown, WV., step-children, Libbi Stewart, of Letart, WV., Edwin (Linda) Stewart, of New Haven, WV., Donna Osborne, of Columbus, Oh., and Carl Stewart, of Letart, WV. Grandchildren, Paul and Missie Wolfe, Mary and Fred Davis, and Tom (Lisa) Woods, seven step-grandchildren, and thirteen step-great-grandchildren also survive.  &#13;

He is preceded in death by his first wife Velma Wood Herrick, and a step-son, Keith Wood.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2019 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy with Rev. James Acree, Sr. Ph.D. will be officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the  Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.</text>
