            <text>Michael David Rush, 73, of Racine, passed away, at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Holzer Meigs Emergency Room, Pomeroy. Born May 15, 1945 in Longview, Texas, he was the son of the late Lonnie D. and Loread Whatley Rush. He retired from the United States Navy where he served as an Engineman. He was also a member of the Rocksprings United Methodist Church.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his sons, David Neal Rush, Lonnie Michael Rush, and Samuel (April) Joseph Rush, of Racine, a grandson, Christian Joseph “C.J.” Rush, and a brother Francis “Red” Rush, of Louisiana, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Bird Rush on November 2, 2015.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. Rev. Dr. Walter Gobel will officiate and interment will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.</text>
