            <text>Clarence Owensby, 74,  Rutland (Langsville Community) passed away at 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2018 at his Dexter Road home. Born December 6, 1943 in Marion, North Carolina he was the son of the late Clarence and Carrie Estelle Sprouse Owensby Sr. Clarence was a retired supervisor from the TODCO of Toledo. He married Peggy Bodi on December 20, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio and she survives as does three daughters,Tammy Jo McClellan, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Tracy Sue (Keith) Howard, of Pomeroy and Joyce Marie (Bobby) Sheppard, of South Carolina and one son, Timothy John Edward Owensby, of Rutland. Seven granddaughters, six grandsons and three great-grandchildren also survive. Clarence is also survived by his sister, Joyce (Tom) Kelly of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Contraras and a brother, John  R. Owensby. In keeping with Clarence's wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral service. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy, has been entrusted with Clarence's cremation services.</text>
