            <text>Edward Lucas Stowers, age 81, of Bidwell, Ohio left this earthly world on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in the Ruth M. Stowers Hospice Room at Holzer Hospital with his family by his side.  Ed was born in Milton, West Virginia to the late Stollie Blaine and Ruth Marie (Lucas) Stowers on June 16, 1941. He was raised on a farm, graduated from Milton High School, class of 1959.  Ed was married 29 years to Marianna “Mary” Campbell when she passed away on June 25, 2017.  Early in his career he worked many positions at the International Nickle Company in Huntington, West Virginia and farmed on the Stowers Family Farm in Milton.  In 1976 he purchased a dairy farm in Bidwell and moved his family there to pursue his dream of milking cows.  A hard-working farmer, passionate hunter, and conservationist, he fulfilled his dream on this amazingly beautiful farm, hunting deer, raccoon, and turkeys.  He was a member of Gallia County Gun Club, Centerville F&amp;AM Lodge #371, Gallia County Coon Club, National Rifle Association and McDonald’s Breakfast Club, Rio Grande Chapter.&#13;

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Teresa (Mike) Funk, London, Ohio, Michael Stowers, Gallipolis, Ohio and Kelly (Barry) Peters, Georgetown, Indiana; grandchildren:  Chelsea (Wade) Caldwell, Gallipolis, Chris Peters and Kyle Peters, both of Georgetown, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Brant and Gabe Caldwell, Gallipolis, Ohio, sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Bradley, Gatesville, Texas and Jane Craddock, Barboursville, West Virginia.&#13;

In addition to his parents and wife, Ed was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Larry Stowers and sister, Patricia Washam.&#13;

Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor John Jackson officiating.  Entombment services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in Forest Memorial Park, 2240 Midland Trail, Milton, West Virginia 25541. Family and friends may call at the funeral home,  4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 11, 2023.&#13;
