Born August 2, 1951, in Athens, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mary Jane Browning West. Dan was a tree trimmer for Townsend Tree Service. He was a member of the Redman Lodge, and Albany AMVETS Post 93. He is survived by his wife Brenda Hall West, children Steven W. Secoy, Daniel L. West Jr., and Amy B. West: 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; siblings Wilma "Jean" Gould, Donna Stalling, Stan (Mary) West, Rich (Ruth) West, Mike (Chris) West, Chuck (Jackie) West, and John West. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his first wife Linda Sue Secoy West, brothers Pete, Eddie, Ricky Dean, and Raymond West. Services will be Monday at 1 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Swart officiating. Visitation is from 11 to 1 pm time of service.
