            <text>Edward Preston Ball passed away on September 19, 2022, after an extended illness, surrounded by his family and friends.&#13;
     Following high school, he proudly served in the United States Navy in Korea.  After his honorable discharge, he returned home to work at the Kyger Creek Power Plant for 36 years.  He volunteered at the Meigs County Community Center for many years.  Eddie was also a log truck driver for 12 years for his son, Bob, at Ball Logging, small sawmill as operator and woodworker.  He loved going on annual motorcycle trips with his son Tom and Canadian trips with Bob, Tammy, and Hazel.&#13;
      He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Freda Ball and Ada Bailes Ball; wife, Hazel Ball; and daughters-in-law, Sharon Ball and Anita Lynn Ball.&#13;
     Eddie is survived by his sons, Thomas Ball and Robert (Tammy) Ball; sister, Rita Ball Matthews; grandchildren, Chris (Heather Skidmore) Ball, Sarah (Joe) Cornelius, and Michael (Angela) Ball; great grandchildren, Nicholas Cornelius, Benjamin Cornelius, and Ella James Ball; devoted nephew, Rick Mayer; special friends, Terry and Tangy Laudermilt, Opal Grueser, Ron and Becky Frechette, and Tom and Sheryl Wilson.&#13;
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio, at 1 pm with Pastor Wesley Thoene officiating.  Burial will follow at Rockspring Cemetery in Pomeroy, Ohio with Pastor James Keesee officiating where military honors will be presented by the VFW Post 9926.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.&#13;
