<text>Sheila Kay Cozart, 73, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at home after an extended illness. She was born on December 18, 1948, in Pomeroy, Ohio, to the late Conrand and Elizabeth Ohlinger in Gallipolis, Ohio.
She was a wonderful and caring nurse at Holzer Hospital for 50 years. She worked in many departments before finally retiring in 2018 from Holzer Cancer Center. She had many loving and caring friends with whom she loved to go shopping with, travel with, and attend church with.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Edward Cozart, whom she married in January 1974 and have been together for 48 loving years. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews who were like her own children, Lindsay and John Matson, Maggie and Todd Simons, Kathryn Matson, Addalynne Matson, and Zane Matson and siblings, Wilma Acord and Bill “Merle” Ohlinger. Sheila had so many friends and family that to name them would take pages. If you knew her, know that she loved and cared for you always.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Ohlinger; and sisters, Naomi Ohlinger and Kathryn Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 2pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pomeroy, Ohio. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Pomeroy, Ohio.
