Text
Michael Dale Oiler left this earth on July 31, 2022, at 11:35 AM while enroute from his home to Holzer Emergency in Pomeroy, Ohio. He had a kind and gentle spirit that his family loved, admired and appreciated. We all were blessed by his presence in our lives.
He was the Great-grandson of a woman of strong character Carrie Belle Stewart and Howard Douglas English.
He was the Grandson of the late Anna Mae English and James Henry Singer.
He was the son of and predeceased by his parents Anna Margret Singer and Jack Lou Oiler.
He was the brother of sisters Florence, and Karen Sue and brothers Mickey (his identical twin), Jackie, and Mark who preceded him in death and survived by his brother Charlie nephew Raymond and nieces Stacey and Felecia (all children of Karen Sue) and Dawn (daughter of Charlie). Also a great-niece Jordan great-great-nephew Kai the son of Jordan.
He was also predeceased by uncles James, Roland and Johnny as well as aunts Florence, Marcia, Dorothy and Joan. He is survived by Aunts Rita, Jane, Helen and Susie.
Having been born on September 8th, 1957, Mike reached 64 years and 10 months of age.
Mike’s nephew and nieces provided him assistance and brought much joy and happiness to his life. They visited him with Aunts Jane, Dorothy and a wonderful cousin Bill Holland after most family members moved away from Middleport. Their visits usually included a meal and gifts of food and financial assistance along with tons of love that Mike appreciated the most.
Mike really enjoyed talking to and keeping up with his large family and many friends who became extended family during his time spent at the Meigs County Orphanage.
Mikes life touched more people than can possibly be thanked for their presence and participation in Mikes life.
Phyllis and Howard English Jr used to share their lives and residence with Mike and his brothers Mickey, Jack Jr and Mark while they were all residents of the Meigs County Children’s Home. Mary Alice Samuels, Aunts Jane and Joan took Mike into their care while he attended Rio Grande College in Gallia County Ohio.
Mike worked cleaning various offices in Middleport as well as an orderly at the Overbrook Nursing home where he tended to and provided care for residents at that facility.
Mike’s ashes will be buried with many of our family members including sisters, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as Aunt Mot.
There are no viewing hours or official services at Mikes request.
Thank you for enriching our lives with your presence Mike. You will live forever in our hearts.
Mike’s family would like to thank the many nurses, aides, doctors at Holzer and Middleport EMS who worked hard to keep Mike in his home. We thank Anderson McDaniel Funeral for their services too.
