            <text>Leon B. Jeffers, 88, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the home of his daughter. Leon was born on August 12, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Lloyd E. and Erma L. Fraley Jeffers. Leon was a brick and block mason for 41 years. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and enjoyed farming and working on cars. Leon was a graduate of Cadmus High School Class of 1952.&#13;
&#13;
On June 13, 1953, Leon married Marinelle Parkins Jeffers; and she survives him, along with their children, Steve (Joy) Jeffers of Cincinnati, Ohio, Beth (Bob) Ruff of Patriot, and Jim (Lori) Jeffers of Jackson, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Christina) Jeffers, Amy (Paul) Huhtala, Annah Ruff (Lucy), Molly Ruff (Ben Hupp), and Tyler, Justin, and Bradley Jeffers; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Hill of Patriot; sister-in-law, Sharon Jeffers of Gallipolis, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Jeffers and two brothers, Ray Jeffers and Lowell Ed Jeffers.&#13;
&#13;
The funeral service for Leon will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating. His burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jeffers, Tyler Jeffers, Justin Jeffers, Bradley Jeffers, Paul Huhtala, and Ben Hupp; honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Spurlock.&#13;
