            <text>Samantha K. Matney, 50, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2023 at her residence.&#13;
&#13;
Born on April 28, 1972 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Samantha was the daughter of Linda Greene and Vernon Pratt.  Samantha and Danny Matney, Sr. have been together for 35 years, marrying on June 29, 1996.  Samantha was a graduate of Southwestern High School, homemaker, and member of Mercerville Baptist Church.  She loved being a mother and grandmother.&#13;
&#13;
Samantha is survived by her husband, Danny Matney, Sr.; children, Dalton (Makala) Matney, Danny (Rebecca Sullivan) Matney, Jr., and Douglas Matney (Elizabeth Peck); grandchildren, Hunter Matney, Aaiden Matney, Cambria Matney, Daxton Matney, Titus Matney, Abel Matney, Asher Matney, and Jeramiah Searles; mother and stepfather, Linda Greene and Ronnie Adkins; father, Vernon Pratt; siblings, Michael Pratt, Eddie Stephens, Gearld Matney, Lynn Matney, Angie House, Laura Hooks, and Tiffany Smith; grandparent, Kathryn Costen of Gallipolis; and mother-in-law, Ellen Matney.  Samantha was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Pratt and father-in-law, Junior Matney.&#13;

The funeral service for Samantha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Dakota Wroten officiating.  Friends may call prior to the service Monday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.</text>
