            <text>Betty J. Long, 81, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Abbyshire Place.  Betty was born on August 11, 1941 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles E. and Ethel Louise Watts Long.&#13;
&#13;
Betty worked for Bob Evans and Kentucky Fried Chicken from 1959 - 2002 and was a member of Bell Chapel Church in Gallipolis.   Betty was a 1959 graduate of Gallia Academy High School.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her companion, Junior Cox; one brother, Robert Long; and a sister, Nancy Henry.  She is survived by two sisters, Emma (Carl) Polsley of Gallipolis and Carmel Long of Vinton; four brothers, Charles Long, David Long, Al Long, and Mike (Brandy) Long all of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Walter "J.R." Peterson of Bidwell.&#13;

A Graveside Service for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Truman Johnson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to SNAP in care of Chris Cozza, P.O. Box 86, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.</text>
