            <text>Betty Jean Kelton Plymale, 89, of Gallipolis, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her residence. Born July 1, 1933, in Lancaster, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Natilda (Rife) Kelton. She received her bachelor's in nursing from the Ohio University and retired as the Associate Director of Nursing for the Holzer Medical Center after twenty years of service. After retiring from Holzer, she became an instructor for the Buckeye Hills Career Center Licenses Practical Nurses program which she taught for over twenty-five years before retiring again.&#13;
&#13;
She is survived by her son, Rex Plymale, of Xenia, Ohio and daughter, Joy (Bill) Beaver, of Crown City. A grandson, Aaron Michael Beaver, sister, Bea Buich, niece, Dawn Morgan, a brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Molly Plymale, and several nieces and nephews also survive. &#13;
&#13;
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Evan O. Plymale Jr., and a sister, Anna Mae Morgan.&#13;
&#13;
The family would like to give special thanks to Betty's caregivers, Angie Moreland, Karen Luckeydoo, Jennifer Goody, and Dinia Larson. &#13;
&#13;
Per her request there will be no viewing. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in the Ohio Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Lusher officiating. Betty will also be honored by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley at graveside. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date. &#13;

The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.&#13;
