            <text>James Allen Howell, 77, of Stewart, OH, passed away Friday, Jan 28, 2023, at his residence.&#13;
He was born May 26, 1945, in Frost, OH, son of the late Samuel and Helen Kinney Howell. James was a member of the Rome Township Fire Dept., where he was a past Chief, and retired from the City of Athens.&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Sonja Featherstone Howell; son, Jeffrey and Julie Howell; brother, David and Sandy Howell; 4 grandchildren, Selene, Seth, T.J. and Erica; 6 great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Melissa and Dale Lesperance; 2 step-grandchildren, Amanda and Travis and 5 step-great-grandchildren.&#13;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jane.&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Thomas Romine officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery.</text>
