            <text>Edward "Ted" A. Smart, 75, Albany, passed away Saturday February 11, 2023,&#13;
at Ohio Health O'Bleness Hospital.&#13;
    Born March 20, 1947, in Pratts Fork, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kenneth G.&#13;
and Blanche J. Dye Smart.  Ted was a U.S. Marine of the Vietnam War, and a retired&#13;
freight truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, mentor, hunting buddy,&#13;
and great friend who was kind to all that truly knew him.  &#13;
     He is survived by his wife Sheilla Smart, children David Smart, Ed Smart of Albany,&#13;
stepchildren Isaiah Caldwell of Wellston, Jasiah Caldwell of Michigan, and Brandi&#13;
Fowler who he considered as his daughter; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren;&#13;
siblings Kenneth Smart, Carolyn Smart and Marilyn Bobo all of Albany.&#13;
     In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a nephew.&#13;
     Services will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Minister&#13;
H. Willard Love officiating.  Burial will be in Athens Memorial Gardens.&#13;
Visitation is Friday 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.</text>
