            <text>Deanna Mayes, 61, Athens, passed away at her residence Monday, February 20, 2023.&#13;
     Born August 29, 1961, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Pearl A. and Janice&#13;
Brown Barrows.  She was a former employee of McBees.&#13;
     She is survived by her children Paul (Amy) Scott of Athens, Katrina Mayes of Athens,&#13;
and Tiffany Marnati-Scott of Albany;  a sister Kathy Barrows of Athens; and 6 grandchildren,&#13;
Gage Scott and Colt Scott, Brighton Smith, Kaleigh Scott, Steven Vance II and Adam Vance.&#13;
     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Mayes in 2007;&#13;
and a brother Chuck Barrows.&#13;
     Services will be Tuesday February 28, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home with&#13;
Pastor Bert Christian Officiating.  Visitation is 12-1 P.M. prior to the service.&#13;
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.</text>
