Born September 16, 1950, in Nitro, WV., the son of Mary G. Hayes and the late James M. Hayes. Johnnie was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He went to Ohio University, worked for Whitmore Cable, and retired for Ohio-WV Lottery. He also was a member of American Legion Post 21, Athens AMVETS Post 76, and a lifetime member of 40/8 AMVETS. He is survived in addition to his mother, a son William (BJ) Allman of Albany, a grandson Aayden Jeffrey and Easton Hayes Allman; a sister Sue (Ken) Caldwell, brother Bill (Stephanie) Hayes, many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Jim A. Hayes, and a sister Linda Lou Shamblin. Services will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Military Services by Albany VFW Post 93, and K.T. Crossen American Legion Post 21. Visitation is Saturday 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
