            <text>Richard G. “Rick” Gilbert, 51, of Vinton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born on October 5, 1971 at Holzer in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late James H. Gilbert Sr. and Goldie Deel Gilbert who survives him. Richard spent his career working as a mechanic and the owner of Gilbert Trash Service.&#13;
&#13;
Along with his mother, Richard is survived by three brothers, James H. (Kim) Gilbert Jr. of Thurman, Gary W. Gilbert of Vinton, and Donnie R. (Tenna) Gilbert of Rio Grande; one sister, Wilma Gilbert of Vinton; and thirteen nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, James P. Gilbert and Larry D. Gilbert and a sister-in-law, Jerri E. Spencer Gilbert.&#13;
&#13;
The funeral service for Richard will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Ridge Cemetery.  Friends and family may call prior to the service Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.</text>
