            <text>Harvey T. Saunders, 82, of Patriot, Ohio winged his way to Heaven to meet his Savior on Friday, September 29, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on December 17, 1940 in Patriot, Ohio, son of the late Thomas and Nona Rice Saunders.&#13;
&#13;
Harvey was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era and was a self-taught machinist and engine builder.  He was a drag and dirt track racer.  Harvey was married to Betty Lambert Saunders on May 24, 2002; and she survives him.  Additional survivors include a nephew, Wade Miller, Jr. and great nephew, Bryton Miller both of Patriot; two stepsons, Brian (Amista) Miller of Stoutsville, Ohio and Steven Miller of Patriot; step grandchildren, Craig Miller of Greenup, KY, Stephanie Tumblison of Columbus, Kaitlyn Lake of Delaware, Ohio, Kirsten Miller of Columbus, and James and Dominick Price of Stoutsville, Ohio; step great grandchildren, Ansley, Caydense, and Wesely; and cousins, Wanda Walters of Hubert Heights, Ohio and Ernie and Ann Rice of Toledo, Ohio.  Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jane Saunders Miller; and a brother, Wayne Saunders.&#13;

A graveside service for Harvey will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Flag Springs Cemetery with Pastor Doug Miller officiating. Military honors will be given at the graveside by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.</text>
