            <text>Carolyn F. Halley, 79, formerly of Gallia County, Ohio, passed away on October 7, 2023 in Lewis Center, Ohio, after a lengthy illness. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Faye Puckett Sanders.&#13;
&#13;
Carolyn was married to Allen Brent Halley in 1964 in Mercerville, Ohio; and he preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Jason) Dykstra of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Heath (Rose) Halley of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Halley, James, Alyssa, Kylie, and Victoria. In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Saunders and a sister, Ann (Gene) Brumfield.&#13;
&#13;
Carolyn was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School Class of 1962 and a graduate of Columbus Beauty Academy in 1963. After operating her own hair salon for many years, Carolyn worked for the City of Gallipolis, retiring as purchasing agent in 2002. She also served her community as Guyan Township Clerk. In retirement, she enjoyed painting, crafting, Red Hat Society events, and spending time with her grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
A Memorial Service for Carolyn will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Delaney officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.&#13;
