            <text>Garry D. Black, 69, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away January 16, 2024 at his home. He was born January 17, 1954 to the late George and Helen(Lawson) Black.&#13;

Garry loved the Lord and his family. Garry was a loving husband, dad, Papaw, son and brother. Garry never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met. He was a very kind and caring person and would help anyone in need. Garry was someone that you could always count on, day or night..&#13;

Garry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rachel Black, son, Joshua(Jessica) Black, daughter, Stephanie(Pete) Burnem. Step-Children: Raymond(Ernestine) Maines, Matt(Valerie) Maines, Jason(Kasey) Maines, &amp; Christina Maines Grandchildren: Kayla, TJ, Paige, Christopher, Alex, Emily, Josh, Garry Owen, Sylvia, Joey, Charlotte, Matthew, Waylon, Shane, Katilyn. Great Granddaughter: Elaina Special Niece: Melissa VanInwagen Sisters: Diana(Dave) Hysell and Joan(Lonnie) Dailey Sister-in-Law: Wilma "Red" Black Brother-in-Law: Bill James Several nieces and nephews.&#13;

In addition to Garry's parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie, Johnny, Mark, Larry, Danny, &amp; Bob, sisters, Cheryl James &amp; Cathy Black and  grandparents  Homer &amp; Daisy (Mam) Lawson.&#13;

&#13;
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1pm with Pastor JR Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Browning Cemetery in Portland, OH. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 19, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at Anderson-McDaniel Funeral in Pomeroy, OH.</text>
