            <text>Doris Ann Hardway Brown, 88, died, Sunday September 24, 2023 at Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis.  Ann was born May 21, 1935 in Crown City, Ohio to Howard Shuler and Mildred Gertrude (Williams) Hardway.  She graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1953.  She married Gerald Richard Brown at Grace Methodist Church on November 14, 1954.  &#13;

Ann was a member of Grace Methodist Church, which she joined in 1945.  During her years of membership at Grace Church, she served as Chairman of the finance Committee, on the Education Committee, during her school years she sang in the church choir, she taught Sunday School, was a member of a Small Group for Bible Study, and for more than 20 years she was the leader of the money counters.&#13;

Ann retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Gallipolis where she worked for 20 1/2 years as a service representative.&#13;

Ann was a member of The Gallia County Genealogical Society, OGS Chapter, Inc. which she joined in 1990.  At the Gallia County Genealogical Society, she served as treasurer for many years.  Ann has ancestors in all of the society’s lineage organizations; First Families, Settler and Builders, Civil War Soldiers, and Century Families.  She was a member of the Gallipolis DAR and most proud to be a member of the Mayflower Society.  Her ancestor was William Bradford.&#13;

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers (Charles Hardway and Michael Hardway), brother-in-law Carroll Brown, and sister-in-law Eleanor Brown.  She is survived by her sister Karen Black (Daniel) of Cleveland, OH.; daughters Sandra Bledsoe and Cynthia Fellure, both of Gallipolis; two grandchildren Amber Fellure, of Gallipolis and Travis Fellure (Stacy) of Patriot; five great-grandchildren, Emmy, Clint, Tucker, Boone and Everett Fellure; sister-in-law Jane Gates Geiger (Jeff); several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  &#13;

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Saturday September 30, 2023 at the Grace Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Pine Street Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 11:00 AM. till the time of the service.  &#13;
