            <text>Michael Ray Saxon, age 76, of Patriot, died Saturday October 7, 2023 at his residence. Born June 14, 1947 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Raymond and Carrie Hayman Saxon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brothers Dan McQuaid and Dave (JoAnn) McQuaid.&#13;
&#13;
Ray retired from Bob Evans after 40 years of service as a truck driver. He was a good friend to the Amish Community. Michael was a member of the Siloam Masonic Lodge in Cheshire, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Gallipolis Shrine Club and the Hillbilly’s. &#13;
&#13;
Michael is survived by his son, Michael (Belinda) Saxon; daughters, Rachael (Joe) Cremeans and Carrie (Jim Bob) McClure; brothers, Don (Becky) Saxon, Ernie (Sandy) Saxon; sisters, Wanda Jordan, Betty Saxon, Leona Harrison; 8 grandchildren; serval great grandchildren; and by a special friend, Dearl Holbrook and her daughter Jessica Shepherd.&#13;
&#13;
As per Ray’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation is under the direction of Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home.</text>
