            <text>Clyde Lee Fitch, age 82, of Cheshire, died Monday October 9, 2023 at the Holzer Medical Center. Born September 14, 1941 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Noah and Margaret Lester Fitch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Carole Oxyer Fitch; brother, Ray Fitch; sisters, Faye Halley and Etta Furst; and by grandchildren, Tyler Gaus and Derick Johnson.&#13;
&#13;
Clyde was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Military Police during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 -1966. He was a union roofer and a member of local 185 for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s ball games.&#13;
&#13;
Clyde is survived by his daughters, Carole Lee (John) Smith, Cheryl (Levi DuPerow) Johnson, and Candace (Andrew) Morrison all of Cheshire; sister, Bess Culpepper of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Jonathan (Hailey) Gaus, Brittany (Chris) Burd, Michael Johnson, Brooklyn Sizemore, and Braxton Morrison; great grandchildren, Kailyn Rife, Chayton Burd, and Scarlett Gaus.  He is also survived by Kenny Wheaton and Jim Fitch who he considered brothers and by his fishing buddy, Carl Madden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.&#13;
&#13;
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM. Friday October 13, 2023 at the Poplar Ridge Cemetery with Bob Price officiating. Family and friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 AM. till 1:00 PM.&#13;
&#13;
Full military honors will be presented at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard.&#13;
&#13;
Pallbearers will be: Michael Johnson, Jonathan Gaus, Chris Burd, Levi DuPerow, Andrew Morrison, Chayton Burd, John Smith, Kenny Wheaton and Braxton Morrison.</text>
