            <text>Bobbie Jack Jones age 94 passed away peacefully on Thursday November 9, 2023 at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home in Jackson. Born July 8, 1929 at Patriot he was the son of David W. Jones and Garnet Rose Jones, he was a graduate of Cadmus High School where he played basketball and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone with 30 years of service and was a member of the Communication Workers of America.&#13;
&#13;
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Porter Jones in 1999, his daughter Tanya B. Jones in 2005, son-in-law Danny H. Wells in 2010 and his son Jon Brent Jones in 2017. Surviving are his daughter June Wells, Wilkesville, grandson Jon B. Jones II of Gallipolis, granddaughter Katy Louise (Darrin) Pellman of Elizabeth, Indiana and their children Layla, Nora, and Maya. Brothers Dean (Shirley) Jones and Gene (Becky) Jones of Gallipolis and their families.&#13;
&#13;
Bobbie enjoyed drinking coffee and breakfast at Bob Evans, listening to the radio, bluegrass music, and going to the Vandalia Festival in Charleston. The family is grateful for, and would like to thank the staff at Bob Evans, Mike at Whittington’s BP, the 218 neighbors, and all who helped him live independently as long as he did.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral will be held at Salem Baptist Church at Gage at 2:00 PM. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. until time of service. Pastor Bobby Hood will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.</text>
