            <text>Richard R. Hinchman, age 78, of Gallipolis died Monday evening November 20, 2023 at his residence. Born May 7, 1945 in Elkins, WV., he was the son of the late Oney Stark Hinchman and Marie Gardner Hinchman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by 1 brother, Donnie Hinchman and by 2 sisters, Shirley and Dorothy.&#13;
&#13;
 Richard was a United States Army Veteran, serving a tour in Vietnam. He was a member of the Vietnam Veteran chapter #709 and the VFW post #4464. He was also a member of the Calvary Christian Center and was a retired employee of the Gallipolis Developmental Center.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Nellie M. Nichols Hinchman; son, Bradley Hinchman of Urbana; step children, Sharon Gray-Call of Gallipolis, Kenneth (Tammy) Gray of Gallipolis, Bobby (Katherine) Gray of Hurricane, WV and Faith (Jason) Lawless of Poolesville, Maryland; 9 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Robert (Betty) Hinchman of Elkins, WV, Debbie (Kenny) Harris of Elkins and Betty (Donald) Austin of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Saturday November 25, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM. till 1:00 PM. Full Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard of which Richard was a member of for several years.</text>
