            <text>Carrie Michelle Jackson, age 48, died Wednesday December 13, 2023 at home, with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with stage IV colon cancer. Carrie was born May 4, 1975 in Gallipolis, to the late Roger Jackson and Debbie Nolan-Sickles. After graduating from Gallia Academy High school in 1993, she studied nursing at the University of Rio Grande, where she received her registered nursing degree. Carrie was a registered nurse for the Genesis Pierpont Center in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was a wonderful nurse, who always put her resident’s needs before her own. Everyone who worked with Carrie said she always went above and beyond for her residents and her team of coworkers.&#13;

Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Roger Eugene Jackson, Maternal grandfather, Loren Curtis Nolan, paternal grandparents, Charlie and Polly Jackson, uncle, Blaine Allen Nolan, uncle, Eddie Ray Jackson, half-sister, Elizabeth Jackson, and her angel babies.&#13;

She is survived by her mother, Debbie (Robert) Sickles, Grandmother, Shirley Lou Sanders Nolan, children, Destiny (Christopher) Bates, Devan McGhee, and Jacob Nolan and fiancée, Trinity Norville. Grandchildren, Maddox Bates, Violet Nolan and Harmony Nolan, siblings, Tracy (Ronald) Scheider, Jason (Sarah) McGuire and Chris (Tina) Jackson, nieces and nephews, Gracie Schneider, Trea Schneider and Natalie McGuire, aunts and uncles, Lorene (Rick) Schuldt, Randy (Julie) Nolan, Rita Simmons, Curtis Nolan and Peggy (Dan) Lamphier, and many cousins who loved her dearly.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM. Sunday December 17, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.&#13;

The family would like to say a special thank you to her work family, Gina Echols and her son, Michael Echols II (Man Man), Jamie McGlothlin and Linda Chapman. Thank you all for loving and caring for Carrie throughout her years of life in Fairmont and her final years of life when she was sick. The family would also like to thank her aunt “Doodle”, Lorrie Nolan, for being there for her and her family.</text>
