            <text>Larry Keith Grimmette, age 81 of Gallipolis died Wednesday evening December 13, 2023 at Holzer Medical Center. Born April 16, 1942 in Mallory, WV, he was the son of the late Jesse Grimmette and the late Estella Belcher Grimmette Stephens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce C. Parsons Grimmette, brothers and sisters, Edith Cox, Tracy Grimmett, Herbert “Peanut” (Sue) Grimmette, David Stephens, Michael Stephens and Dickey Stephens.&#13;

Larry was a proud coal miner and retired from the Arch Coal of West Virgina. He was a good Christian man who attended the Addison Freewill Baptist Church. He coached little league baseball for many years and enjoyed hunting and sports.&#13;

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Ross Grimmette of Gallipolis; daughters, Annette (Richard) Gibson of Salem, WV, Vonda (Danny) Copley of Clayton, NC, and Machelle (Timothy) Rowe of Selma, NC; son, David Lee Parsons; step-daughter, Anita (Steve) Buck of Chauncey, OH; brothers, James (Jane) Grimmette of Bruno, WV and Donald (Sandy) Grimmette of Raeford, NC; sister, Brenda (Charlie) Williamson of Bruno, WV;  grandchildren, Daniel Copley, Chelsie Gibson, Jacob Rowe, Bethany McGee, Hannah Rowe, Zach Gibson, Amy Parsons Jones, Larry David Parsons, Curtis Parsons, a step grandchild, Zack Buck,  4 great grandchildren; sister in laws, Charlene Stephens and Sue Grimmette, special friends, Keaster and Barbara Coleman and Leanna and Don Kingery; and by several nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Monday December 18, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Lacey Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM. until time of service.&#13;
