            <text>Oscar Bastiani Jr., 86, passed away peacefully Monday, June 12, 2023 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born August 4, 1936 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Oscar and Teodora (Fabbri) Bastiani, Sr.&#13;
&#13;
Oscar attended St. Vincent Preparatory School in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He was a production supervisor at Goodyear before starting his own construction business. A lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Gallipolis, he was active in the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107. He loved hunting, fishing and competition rifle shooting.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Sharyn Bastiani, Gallipolis, Ohio and three children: John Bastiani, Oakland, Maryland; Wendy (Frank) Cocchiarale, Columbus, Ohio and Michl (Renee) Bastiani, Gallipolis, Ohio; two grandchildren who he adored: Dr. Francesca (Mark Gnatowski) Cocchiarale, Chillicothe, Ohio and Giovanni Cocchiarale, Columbus, Ohio and two step grandchildren: Nicholas D’Angelo and Chancey Odom, both of Gallipolis, Ohio.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Lawrence Bastiani and Oscar Bastiani II.&#13;
&#13;
Oscar will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to serve the Bastiani Family.</text>
