            <text>Jack L. Quimby, Sr., 89, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Holzer Senior Care Facility, Bidwell, Ohio. Jack was born October 13, 1933 in Mahoning County, Ohio, son of the late Lyle and Mildred (Cramer) Quimby. He retired from Goodyear/Shell Company in 1994 following thirty-one years of service and was a member of the Gallipolis Central Christian Church. Jack had many passions which included interior painting, bowling, Ohio State Sports Teams and lawncare.&#13;
&#13;
He leaves behind his wife of forty-five years, Patricia “Kay” Quimby, whom he married February 14, 1978 in Gallipolis and a son, Jack L. (Carol) Quimby, Jr., Gallipolis; stepson, Jerry Williams, Gallipolis and stepdaughters, Tamara (Steve) Thacker and Ronda Dixon, also of Gallipolis; grandchildren: Julie Hannon, Aaron Quimby, Kristin Stinson, Ryann Swindler and Kelly Baker as well as numerous great-grandchildren; several extended family members and a special friend at Holzer Senior Care, Johnny.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and George French and Gladys and William Durig and son-in-law, John Dixon.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 AM to the service time.&#13;

Jack’s Family would like to thank his Friends at Gallipolis Central Christian Church for their love and help; Holzer Medical Center Doctors and Staff and Holzer Senior Care Staff for their care throughout Jack’s stay.                        </text>
