Jerry was the son of Esta (Sprouse) Downard, Vinton, who was born August 23, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was a machinist by trade and a United States Army Veteran. Jerry married Joella (Crossley) Roberts of Gallipolis, who survives. Others surviving are his son, Nakuma Roberts, Bidwell, Ohio and grandchildren, Cierra Roberts and Tyler Roberts, Bidwell; stepdaughters, Missy (Bill) Triplett, Mercerville, Ohio and Tyfanny Still, Gallipolis and step grandchildren, Austin and Tori Triplett and Trinity and Markyce Still. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Franklin Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by Vinton American Legion Post 131.
