            <text>Jane V. Singer Harper, 86, of Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in Gallipolis, Ohio&#13;
Born October 5, 1936 in Middleport, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James (Daddy Jim) and Anna Payne Singer. Jane was a graduate of Middleport High School, a member of the John Gee Black Historical Center in Gallipolis, the Gallipolis Christian Church and Eastern Star Lucy Ann Chapter.&#13;
She is survived by her husband, Allen Harper; her six children, Debra Howell, Billy Holland, Cecil G. (Lisa) Vinson Jr, Kimberly (Tony) Taylor, Chuck Harper and Missy Harper; three sisters, Rita Blair, Helen Owen and Sandra Alexander; two sister-in-laws, Valerie Singer and Lavonda Singer; one brother-in-law, Chester Layne; a special grandson Jordan Howell: a multitude of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family friends.&#13;
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Carrie Payne; eight siblings, Marcia Sawyers, Anna Margaret Oiler, James (Jimmy) Singer, Joan Layne, Roland Singer, Florence Moore, Dorothy Casey and Richard (Johnny) Singer and two step daughters, Sue Harper and Brenda Murphy.&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Ewing-Schwarzel Home in Pomeroy with Christian Scott, Lewis Jackson and Bruce Hogan officiating. Burial will take place in Beech Grove Cemetery in Pomeroy, Ohio. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home. Friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net. A gathering with food and fellowship will take place at the Ewing-Schwarzel Family Center following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations to help cover funeral expenses may be made payable to the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home, 106 Mulberry Ave., Pomeroy, Ohio 45769.</text>
