            <text>Lila Mitch, 83, of Pomeroy, died on Thursday morning, May 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.&#13;
Born September 10, 1939 in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Wilma Hines Terrell. Lila was a 1957 graduate of Pomeroy High School. Her graduating class still holds monthly luncheons in which Lila was the life of the party. She was very active in all her children’s school activities and belong to all the Parent Teacher Organizations. Lila was a huge animal lover who helped many stray cats and dogs find good homes. Lila liked changing with the times starting out as a switchboard operator in the 50’s to learning how to navigate on a computer and socialize with folks on Facebook. Facebook and other social media will never be the same as Lila had a huge following which she was always entertaining….She was a social media influencer!&#13;
Lila is survived by one son, Mark (Gabriella) Mitch; one daughter, Shari (Joe) Garnes; four grandchildren, William, Sabrina, Megan (Robbie) Cross, Andy (Amy) Garnes; five great grandchildren, Eliza, Harleigh, Titus, Braxton and Kallie; one sister, Martha Struble and her dog, Sophie.&#13;
Besides he parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl “Gene” Mitch in 1999; a sister, Cady Spencer and brother, Charlie Legar.&#13;
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Pomeroy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Meigs County Canine Rescue and Adoption Center, 33133 Hiland Road, Pomeroy, Ohio 45769. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ewingschwarzelfuneralhome.net.</text>
