            <text>Mary Elizabeth Roush, 73, of Pomeroy, died Sunday evening, September 17,2023, at St Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV.&#13;
Born October 6, 1949 in Braunsfels, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Buford and Celia Pearl Province Cross. Mary was a very active member of the Hope Baptist Church in Middleport where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. To know her was to love her.&#13;
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Doy) Nitz; two granddaughters, Haylee Currence and Kelsee Pickens; three brothers, Randy (Phyllis) Cross, Duane (Donna) Knapp and Kevin Knapp.&#13;
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leonard Roush on November 16, 2020.&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Hope Baptist Church in Middleport with Pastor Ron Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Middleport, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Friday at the Hope Baptist Church. Following the graveside, a meal will be provided at the Ewing-Schwarzel Family Center at 114 West Second Street in Pomeroy. Everyone is invited to share in food and fellowship. Services have be entrusted with the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.&#13;
