            <text>Ruth (Ruthie) Mae Mick, 89, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
Ruth will be dearly missed and always loved by her family and friends.&#13;
&#13;
Ruth was born October 18, 1933, in Clendenin, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harvey B. and Florence McLaughlin.&#13;
&#13;
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert (Bob) Mick. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Jo (Frank) Vinson of North Carolina and Sue (Don) Walaszek of Ohio; grandson, Jamie (Erin) Kessel; granddaughters, Melanie (Jesse) Kirk and Reese (Kasey) White; step-grandchildren, David (Susan) Walaszek, Karen (Joel) Sanchez, and Dale (Audrey) Walaszek; great grandchildren, Corbett and Mick Kessel, Jackson Kirk, Charlotte Ruth White and Brooklynn White.&#13;
&#13;
Ruth graduated from the Charleston Business School and retired from the Jackson County School System. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood and also attended services at Beech Grove United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the First United Methodist Church, VFW, Women of the Moose, the WV Association of Retired Employees, and Red Hats. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, playing cards, golfing, and spending time with her family.&#13;

&#13;
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with Pastor Karin Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV.&#13;

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beech Grove United Methodist Church c/o Nancy Shamblin 4448 Cavin Fork Road, Ravenswood or the WV Cancer Association.&#13;
