            <text>ackie Lonnie Chaney, 87, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on June 19, 2023, at Ravenswood Care Center.&#13;

He was born on September 21, 1936, in Hamlin, WV, son of the late Claude L. and Alma Gibson Chaney.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
Jack coached little league and minor league, was assistant civil defense director, and was a Ravenswood Auxiliary Police Department and Ravenswood Fire Department member. He was also a member of the Jackson County CB Club, American Legion and was a member of Steelworkers local union 5668 in Ravenswood. He was president of the North United Methodist Men’s Group. Jack retired from Ravenswood Aluminum after 37 ½ years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.&#13;

Surviving are his sons, Jackie L. Chaney II and wife Donita of Ravenswood, and Jeffrey L. Chaney of Ravenswood; stepdaughters, Sue Nutter and husband Harry of Jonesboro, GA, Debbie Webb of Ravenswood, and Peggy Lehew of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Viki Wood, Heather Workman, Ashley Tackett, Jennifer Chaney, Jennifer Lehew, Rachel Nutter, Calah Chaney; grandsons, Dustin Chaney, Jeremy Chaney, Tyler Creel, Josh Lehew and Charlie Bolten; great grandchildren, Van Chaney, Emerson Chaney, Adalyn Chaney, Arrow Nicola, Raven Hartleroad, and the triplets, Charlotte, Corline and Landon.&#13;

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood. Pastor Chris Skeens will be conducting the service.Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, WV with the fireman’s last call provided by the Ravenswood fire Department, Station 20.&#13;

Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.&#13;
