            <text>Mary Catherine (May) Evans, 70, of Cottageville, WV, departed this world on, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family.&#13;

Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Watching her “soaps” was her favorite pastime.&#13;

Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth L. Evans; her children, Kenneth Scott Evans, Cottageville, WV and Robert (Robin) Evans, Cottageville, WV; grandchildren, Michael Evans, Ripley, WV, Robert “RJ” Evans (“Delana” Delaine Kemp), Ravenswood, WV, Paige (Hunter) Burdette, Morgantown, WV, and the apple of her eye, Sylvia Sue Evans, Cottageville, WV; great grandchildren, Nash Evans and Sarah Burdette; brother, Terry May, St. Albans, WV; sister, Diana Lynn Burgess, Ripley, WV; and many nieces and nephews.&#13;

Mary was preceded in death by, her mother and father, Harold and Bernice(Bales) May; sister, Carolyn Sue “Susie” Williams; brother, Harold Ray May; nephew, Charles Burgess and niece, Mary Williams.&#13;

&#13;
Friends may visit, Monday, August 14, 2023 at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2:00pm, with Pastor Todd King, officiating, at Roush Funeral Home, with visitation from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Private burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery.&#13;
