            <text>Mrs. Helen Jane (Houdashelt) Brown of Middleport, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Darst Care Home in Pomeroy, OH.&#13;
&#13;
She was born on September 28, 1929 to the late Walter and Gladys (Conant)Houdashelt. She grew up in Minersville, Ohio, and graduated from the Pomeroy High School in 1948.&#13;
&#13;
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marcia Houdashelt, and several nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Brown in 2002, and two brothers, Bob Houdashelt, and Gene Houdashelt as well as a sister-in-law, Peggy Houdashelt.&#13;
&#13;
Helen Jane was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church, where she enjoyed using her musical talents for the Lord, playing the piano, and at times, singing in the choir.&#13;
&#13;
Services will be held at noon on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Victory Baptist Church, 525 N. Second St. in Middleport, with Pastor James E. Keesee officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Minersville Cemetery.</text>
