            <text>Phillip Arthur Moon, 69, of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away peacefully January 3, 2025 after an extensive battle with Parkinson's Disease. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Moon and Annie Lee Moon Harris and siblings, Mary Lena Moon Carter, Anna Maude Moon, Julia Moon, John Moon Jr. and Wesley Alan Moon as well as beloved niece, Chandra Moon.&#13;

He is survived by his: wife, Jane Matson Moon; sons, Chris and Mike West; two brothers, Stanford &amp; Tracy Moon and Lyle &amp; Catherine Moon; grandchildren, Keinan and Reese Dalton, Willow, Garralt, Michael, Elijah, Zandra and Landon West; and several nieces and nephews.&#13;

Phillip was a lifelong member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Middleport. He was a longtime employee of The Ohio Department Of Transportation where he retired as foreman in the early 2000's due to kidney disease. He is widely known and recognized as a skilled musician. He was a co-founder of Blitzkrieg and also The Renee Stewart Band; recording albums with both of the bands.&#13;

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy from 4:00 to 7:00pm with the funeral service immediately following at 7:00pm. There will be a Celebration Of Life reception at the old Maple Lawn Brewery building on Mulberry Avenue in Pomeroy after the service.</text>
