            <text>Thomas Roger Anderson of Middleport, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.  He was born on September 25, 1943 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Frances "Daf" and Martha (Heines) Anderson.  Tom was raised in Middleport, Ohio and graduated from Middleport High School in 1961. He then enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and served as a Flight Mechanic and Crew Chief on the B47 Aircraft, 817 Air Division, serving in England and multiple AF locations.  He retired in 1965 from Peays AFB, New Hampshire.  Upon retirement, he joined Goodyear Tire and Rubber (later called Royal Dutch Shell) in Apple Grove, WV for 40 years where he served as Forman and Consultant.&#13;

During his tenure as Meigs County Commissioner, he was most proud of the Emergency Department, the Bob Byer Emergency Medical Services and Hopewell Building located in Pomeroy, Ohio and the Rest Areas on Rt 33. As an avid  (Scratch) golfer, he enjoyed his multiple trips  with friends and family to Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, SC  and Doral Country Club, Florida.&#13;

Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Swan Anderson; sister, Carol &amp; James Wagner of Lewis, Center, Ohio; brother-in-law, Bill  &amp; Jennifer Swan of Sarasota, FL; niece, Kristin &amp; Chandler Newton of Columbus, Ohio; niece, Kristin &amp; Michael Brown of Charlotte, NC;  nephews, Jeffery &amp; Alice Kazee  of Ann Arbor, MI and Brian &amp; Leanne Anderson, of Doula Cameroon; Niece, Amy &amp; Ryan Witschger of Hamilton, Ohio; and five great nephews and four great nieces.&#13;

He was preceded in death by his:  mother, Martha Heines Anderson; father; Frances "Daf" Anderson; brother, Keith Anderson; and brother-in-law, Ralph Painter.&#13;

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00am at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home. &#13;
