            <text>Beatrice “Bea” Irene (Ward) Wood of Rutland, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.   She was born in Cheshire, Ohio on April 1, 1932 to the late Jimmy and Thelma Ward.  &#13;
&#13;
Bea drove a school bus for 12 years for Rutland and Meigs.  She was also a mail carrier for 25 years in Rutland.   She loved working on the farm, going to church and her family.   She was a member of the Rutland Freewill Baptist Church and she was proud to serve her Lord for over 50 years.&#13;
&#13;
She is survived by her 6 children, Lee O. (Beverly) Wood III, Gregory (Cheryl) Wood, Mason Randall (Peggy) Wood, Candy Bea (Rick) Smith, Rhonda (Todd) Pitchford and Fonda (Charlie) Wood; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Wood; brother-in-law, David Wood; her family would like to add that there are many others she considered her own family too.  Mom loved you all. &#13;

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years, Lee O. Wood Jr.; Lee O.  and Susie “Bess” Wood. Jim and Gertrude Ward, Bob and Gaylee Ward, Betty and Bill Barton, Emogene and Ed Spaulding, Teresa Wood, Timmy Chadwell, Bryson Tatterson, Tangie Wood and Chet Young. &#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 12:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Ed Barney officiating.   Burial will follow at the Wells Cemetery.    Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service (10:00am-12:00pm)&#13;

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rutland Freewill Baptist Church</text>
