            <text>Darrell Franklin McFann, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio, formerly of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away from a brief illness on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Ohio State East Hospital.&#13;
&#13;
He was born on August 30, 1945 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Franklin and Addie Ward McFann.  Darrell married Jane Goody McFann, who survives him in Gallipolis.  He was a retired electrician/carpenter who had worked for Oak Hill Foundry, Oakwood Homes, and Welsh Electric.  Darrell graduated from Oak Hill High School Class of 1963.&#13;
&#13;
Darrell attended First Church of God in Gallipolis and was active in the church.  He was a Christian and enjoyed going to his church camp.   Darrell loved to bowl and was in a men’s bowling league.  He also loved to travel.  Darrell worked hard every day and brought joy to the people’s lives he touched.&#13;
&#13;
Darrell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jane McFann; his children, Darla (Wayne) Boone, Arenda McFann, Brian (Melinda) McFann, Michael (Jeff) McFann, and David Thacker; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.  He is also survived by his twin sister, Carol (Eldon) Burris; other siblings, Jean (Jack) Kemp and Alan McFann; half- brothers, Donnie Lovett and Marlin Lovett; half-sisters, Beverly Strickland and Rosie Sherman; and a host of nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard (Margile) McFann and Glenn (Betty) McFann and sisters, Virginia (Ed) Holt, Francis (Bill) Simmering, Opal (Gene) Carter, and Barbara (Ron) Conley.&#13;
&#13;
According to the family's wishes, as a result of inclement weather, the previously planned services have been cancelled. Darrell's burial will be held in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens at a later date.</text>
