<text>Hazel M. Workman, 97, passed to her Heavenly home on Sunday morning February 16, 2025. Born December 13, 1927 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Hazel was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie (Casto) McKinney. She married Dale Workman in November 1946; he preceded her in death in May of 2019. She lived her life taking care of Dale and was lost when he passed after 72 years of marriage.

Hazel was the last of seven siblings to pass: sister, Lucy (E.B) Casto and brothers, Willie (Maxine) McKinney, Burdell (Kate) McKinney, Charles Leonard (Mary) McKinney, Ernie McKinney, and Gene (Shirley) McKinney. One grandson, Adam K. Scott, also preceded Hazel in death, along with four nieces.

Surviving Hazel are her two children, Jim (Linda) Workman of Gallipolis, Ohio and Linda (Michael) Reese of Cheshire, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jimmy (Dawn) Taylor of Fort Worth, Texas, Jessica (Kris) Myers of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Brian Workman of Gallipolis, Stephanie Scott of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Kelly (Justin) Hesson of Gallipolis, Ohio; and two bonus grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) Parsons of Cincinnati, Ohio and Michael (Samantha) Reese of Gallipolis, Ohio. Hazel has ten great grandchildren and three bonus great grandchildren. There are five great great grandchildren and another one on the way.

Hazel was a member of Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene; she served as the church custodian for many years. Living for Jesus and wanting to see all her family in Heaven with her was always her prayer. Lately, when Hazel would talk with someone, she would tell them, "If I don't see you again here, I'll see you in Heaven."

The funeral service for Hazel will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Brown and Pastor Eugene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may call prior to the service Thursday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church.</text>
